About Knijn & Damsma

History

In 1997 Jef Damsma started his window cleaning business from home in Alkmaar. The company was soon expanded into a cleaning and window cleaning company, with North Holland as the region. After a few years, the company established itself on the De Beverkoog industrial estate in Alkmaar. In 2006 the company merged with Knijn Schoonmakers, founded in 1962, from Uitgeest. The two companies continued together under the name Knijn & Damsma Facilitaire Diensten and established themselves at the new sustainable industrial estate De Trompet in Heemskerk. The first own aerial work platform was purchased (now expanded to four own aerial work platforms) and the working area expanded further. In the years that followed, Knijn & Damsma took over a number of companies from the region.

Knijn & Damsma continues to grow

The activities also expanded further: Knijn & Damsma Leisure was founded in 2018. This company focuses entirely on cleaning and managing holiday homes and parks in North Holland. The Sint Maartensvlotbrug site was opened to provide an even better service to clients and employees.

Now, 25 years after starting his company, Jef still has an undiminished passion for the cleaning and window cleaning industry. The team has now expanded to more than 100 colleagues. Cleaning employees, window cleaners, facade cleaners, property managers, supervisors and cooperating for women, they all have the same passion for their great profession. For 60 years, Knijn & Damsma, VCA certified, has been supplying quality in the field of cleaning , window cleaning , facade cleaning and specialist cleaning . Due to all the additional activities, Knijn & Damsma offers a total package for many clients, from dental practice to notary office, from holiday park to Owners' Association.
